DePuy Synthes, a division of Johnson & Johnson, is seeking a Manager, Safe Fleet Process Owner to lead global fleet and road safety initiatives across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global fleet and road safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes for fleet/road safety events.
  • Analyze fleet safety data, trends, and KPIs; report findings to senior leadership and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate driver training, qualification, and safety awareness programs across all regions.
  • Manage compliance with applicable transportation, road safety, and fleet regulations (local, regional, global).
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and HR to ensure safe vehicle selection, maintenance, and driver management.
  • Support sustainability initiatives related to fleet operations (e.g., emissions reduction, eco‑driving).
  • Participate in EHS&S audits and assessments.
  • Develop and mentor regional office/deliver/fleet specialists and commercial leaders/teams by providing technical training, expertise and solutions.
  • Develop, implement and help coordinate road safety training modules and coordinate regional trainings with regional office/deliver/fleet specialists.
  • Support crisis management and emergency response related to fleet incidents.
  • Represent the company in external fleet safety forums and industry groups.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Transportation, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of experience in fleet/road safety management or EHS.
  • Expertise in fleet safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work in a cross‑regional, cross‑sector, and cross‑functional team.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Experience with incident investigation and corrective action.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic vendor/supplier management skills.
  • Valid driver licence and good driving history.
  • Travel: 20–30% domestic and international site visits, audits, and training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in global fleet safety programs.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and emissions reduction strategies.
  • Certification in road safety or fleet management (e.g., CSP, CSM, Fleet Safety Certification).
