DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Spine and Biomaterials Marketing Manager, located in Leeds UK, Zug Switzerland, or Singapore. The International Spine & Biomaterials Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the marketing strategy for the Spine & Biomaterials portfolio across the International regions and growing our market presence. Reporting directly to the International Marketing Director Spine, this position is critical for implementing marketing initiatives that accelerate brand visibility and market penetration.
The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams and collaborators to develop and implement effective marketing plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. The successful candidate will be strategic and a strong partner for their peers, dedicated to strengthening customer relationships and optimizing market impact. The successful candidate will be intrinsically motivated with analytical problem-solving abilities to craft tactical strategy and solutions. As a strong leader, this candidate will need to work collaboratively cross-functionally to establish alignment and vision amongst various teams across a matrixed organization.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Development: Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the Spine & Biomaterials portfolio, aligning with overall Global and regional campaigns and initiatives.
- Campaign Activation & Management: Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and success, using digital marketing and comprehensive integrated MARCOM plans to drive demand generation.
- Launch Excellence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches by using innovative and impactful marketing and sales strategies.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to assess marketing effectiveness and revenue generation relative to business expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with sales, supply chain, finance, and medical affairs to ensure cohesive execution of marketing initiatives and alignment with regional objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and key customers to gather insights that drive product positioning and marketing strategies.
- Training & Support: Become a product champion, supporting Commercial & Professional Education activities, elevate knowledge and competencies around the Spine & Biomaterials within the commercial organisation and awareness and capabilities across our surgeon community.
Experience and education
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Marketing Experience within the Orthopaedic sector.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful marketing plans and campaigns, particularly in the context of product launches.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability for analysing data and metrics to assess performance and drive initiatives, with proficiency in tools such as Excel and CRM systems.

- Strategic Vision: Ability to think critically and develop long-term strategies to position unharmed compartments in a competitive landscape.
- Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying messages to diverse audiences and building relationships.

- Adaptability: A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving, with a track record of adapting strategies in a dynamic environment.
- Presentation Skills: Capable of creating and delivering impactful presentations to executive leadership, customers, and field teams.
Work environment: Ability to work with cadavers and within an operating room setting is required. Surgeon Engagement: Experience leading surgeon teams and meetings and proven ability to define customer needs is required. Overall Travel expectations 40-50% across International Regions. English, other languages preferable.
