DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an EMEA Commercial Capabilities Director, located in Leeds, United Kingdom or Zug, Switzerland or Umkirch, Germany. This role directs managers and/or senior individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching and feedback. It contributes to the direction of sales strategies throughout the sales lifecycle, from creating, maintaining and growing Pricing & Contracting/Tendering strategy, and coordinating the implementation of end-to-end Pricing and Contracting/Tender operational excellence designed to meet sales objectives.
This position drives business growth opportunities by improving Pricing & Contracting/Tendering processes and strategic opportunities, implementing continuous improvement & automation programs, generating performance metrics, and disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. It maintains an extensive knowledge of DPS portfolio, process troubleshooting and benchmark industry best practices in order to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate strategies and solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Directing managers and/or senior individual contributors in a matrix environment.
- Being a key partner to the EMEA Leadership Team providing strategic decision-making support.
- Establishing EMEA pricing strategy including European Floor Price frameworks and compliance governance.
- Delivering Price & Contracting/Tendering vision and strategy for the commercial organization.
- Participating in the design of strategic sales plans derived from corporate goals and customer touchpoints.
- Designing key performance indicators to measure the performance of Pricing & Contracting/Tendering departments.
- Developing relationships with leaders and stakeholders to understand consumer priorities.
- Managing operational aspects of their teams (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance).
- Creating a purpose-driven environment by aligning Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
