Job Summary

The Clinical Specialist – London, Spine – is a field‑based role focused on maintaining and expanding the sales of orthopaedic products within the UK.

The position provides in‑theatre support, product education, and business development across key accounts while working closely with Territory Managers and other sales teams.

  • Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide in‑theatre support to consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of products.
  • Deliver accurate information on product indications and surgical techniques to orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff.
  • Offer first‑class service and seamless supply to customers, including training, stock checks, timely deliveries, and support to ensure successful operations.
  • Promote correct use of De Puy products through regular, organised customer education meetings and training sessions.
  • Develop business opportunities across the portfolio in key focus accounts, communicate opportunities to the Territory Manager, and assist in their successful conversion.
  • Support De Puy Medical Education Events.
  • Achieve business goals in line with CREDO values.
  • Promote portfolio use by orthopaedic surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Maintain and grow business as defined by individual business plans and key opinion leader targets.
  • Proactively build and develop relationships with clinical stakeholders.
  • Develop a portfolio of territory key opinion leaders across the product portfolio.
  • Cover surgical cases as required to support regional colleagues.
  • Present at hospital meetings and exhibitions.
  • Use the company CRM system effectively.
  • Complete business reporting and administration in a timely manner.
  • Adhere fully to Johnson & Johnson HCC standards and standards of business conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in orthopaedics/sports medicine.
  • Working knowledge of theatre environment.
  • Working knowledge of NHS and recent changes.
  • Good commercial drive and acumen.

Desirable

  • Relevant experience in health sciences, anatomy and/or arthroscopy.
  • Clinical qualification such as ODP, RGN or Physiotherapy.
  • A degree in science, sports science, discipline, business or technology.
  • Job Requirements

Field‑based role requiring daily travel within the region.

Some overnight stays may be required, and occasional international travel may be necessary.

Full‑time post providing coverage and support to additional sales territories as required.
