Trauma & Extremities Business Development Manager supporting the South‑East UK team in the orthopaedic sector.
Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed objectives and sales targets as outlined in the annual performance cycle.
- Within allocated geographical region, interact and promote products to key customers and stakeholders in secondary care.
- Manage region through the development of comprehensive business plans.
- Focus on highest value opportunities to grow and develop new business, taking competitor share and adopting new technologies while maintaining key customers and core business.
- Analyse and interpret account strategies and plans utilizing key systems and data, both internally and externally, to gain a broad understanding of the business environment and account needs.
What to Expect
- Build strong networks of relationships that identify mutually beneficial opportunities to sell key technologies in the surgical procedural environment.
- Present brand value propositions and value‑added customer solutions to positively influence buying behaviours.
- Partner with Professional Education to develop and maintain associated KOL relationships and champion the effective use of the Company’s comprehensive Professional Education offering.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices to deliver business plans.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, Sales Specialists and commercial teams to deliver a coordinated approach.
- Respond to requests for support from customer‑facing colleagues and proactively share information and customer insights.
- Contribute and collaborate with colleagues in regional team to work towards regional business planning goals.
- Understand technical information pertinent to the procedure and product platform.
- Maintain up‑to‑date market and industry knowledge.
Key Skills
- Proven, exceptional track record in Medical Device Sales.
- Influencing and business partnering skills; ability to analyse requirements and develop strategies that drive the adoption of technologies; trusted business advisor.
- Consultative selling, ability to build trust with customers by asking probing questions.
- Capability to coach and lead sales professionals.
- Effective use of the Company’s selling tools (Challenger Sales).
- Deep clinical expertise in procedure and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (required).
- Experience in the medical device industry, orthopedics experience (preferred).
- Experience in medical device sales or relevant background in medical device industry/hospital/medical (e.g., sales, nurse, physiotherapist, or similar) (preferred).
- Proficiency in English language (required).
- Knowledge of orthopedics, trauma, and medical device environment (preferred).
Travel
Up to 80% within the South‑West UK region.
Location
South‑West UK; Home location: South‑West UK.
