Who we are: 72Point is a content creation agency which delivers top quality news stories, pictures, videos, and assets to the national news media and beyond. We work with big name brands and agencies to help earn them coverage in the news pages online, in print, social and via broadcast, with interesting stories, case studies, research-driven insight, exciting visuals and more. Our client list includes a string of huge global brands, as well as some of the biggest names on PR Week’s Top 150. We distribute to the biggest news publishers in the UK - from the Sun, Mirror and Daily Mail to the Times and Telegraph.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly creative and technically proficient Videographer/Editor to join our team. You will be responsible for understanding client briefs and internal scripts and filming on-location to deliver high-impact edits. Working across a wide range of campaigns, you’ll create standout video content that is editorially sharp, platform-optimised and creatively compelling. You’ll collaborate closely with PR teams, creatives, producers and clients to translate news-driven ideas into visual formats that land with journalists, publishers and audiences alike. You will work in a fast-turnaround environment while keeping editorial and visual quality high. This role also includes line management responsibility for a Junior In House Editor / Producer, supporting their development while maintaining the quality, pace and consistency of team output. The ideal candidate is a creative film-maker who can balance strong narratives with the fast-paced demands of social media and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Production: Ensure scripts are understood and possible to capture, ensuring that the correct kit is ready and edits are prepped where required.
- Post-Production: Edit raw footage into compelling narratives, including colour grading, sound design, and basic motion graphics.
- Asset Management: Maintain and organise our digital media library and ensure all equipment is well-maintained and ready to share with other editors and clients.
- Lighting & Sound: Set up professional lighting rigs and capture crisp, high-quality audio in various environments.
- Autonomous working: Be a self-starter who can work on a range of films from Vox-pops, event films, high-end social content or A-list interviews with a great lighting set-up.
Required Skills & Experience
- Portfolio: A strong showreel demonstrating both filming and editing capability is essential.
- Technical Gear: Proficiency with a range of cameras, gimbals, and drone operation (CAA license a plus).
- Software: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
- Storytelling: A proven ability crafting a strong narrative in short-form that balances client needs with editorial storytelling which engages a specific audience.
- Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
What We’re Looking For
- The "All-Rounder": You understand that a great edit starts with great footage, and you shoot with the final cut in mind. Limiting rushes for quick turnarounds.
- Adaptability: You can switch between "run-and-gun" social content and polished corporate brand films. Working with different brands and adapting to their style and tone.
- Communication: You’re comfortable directing talent and members of the public, as well as experts from all industries.
What You’ll Get
- The opportunity to create content seen across major national media and leading brands.
- A central role in high-impact PR campaigns and creative projects.
- Line management experience with real influence over team development.
- A fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong creative ambition.
- Clear progression opportunities as the video function continues to grow.
- You will work on important, current and creative campaigns that shape the media landscape.
