The Role
It is an exciting time to be joining 72Point, now looking for an additional Account Executive to grow the team further. The role will be to develop business directly from agencies, either from scratch, or who we already work with on a spot basis, seeking to develop long-term relationships. To accelerate the growth of our agency partnerships and revenue, we are seeking an Account Executive.
Someone from a structured, disciplined, commercial sales side who is or will quickly be competent to speak the language of PR at a senior level with Comms Directors, Marketing Directors, and key decision-makers in that field. Growth opportunities lie in several sectors but particularly PR Agencies, a great opportunity for someone to build relationships and a pipeline of business to hit targets and thrive in a PR sales role.
Team Structure
The sales team is split into brand direct and agency sales. The new Account Executive will work closely with the Commercial Director for the agency team to manage their patch of clients and develop a plan for growth with existing and new business.
Qualities
- This is, first and foremost, a sales role and therefore experience in this area is key.
- A background in or understanding of the PR industry is also important.
- The direct sales approach needs to be balanced with diplomacy, subtlety and relationship building, as we want to build long-term relationships.
- A go-getter who comes out from behind their computer and will eventually meet clients.
- Someone who has pace, a real self-driver able to see an opportunity, build his/her own strategy and identify a market proactively.
- Driving business leads, presenting, networking.
- Having their finger on the pulse of popular culture and the current news agenda in social, national and international news as well as TV and radio.
- Brimming with great ideas and an ability to juggle and design a variety of channel opportunities and solutions.
- Self-motivated, team player.
