Job Purpose
Location: Leeds Office. Deadline to Apply: 23rd August 2026. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time.
Role Purpose
Develop, implement and embed a facilities management strategy, supported by clear policies, processes and assurance arrangements, to deliver high standards of workplace services, corporate real estate performance, asset management and statutory compliance. Lead the internal Facilities team and manage external delivery partners to provide a proactive, colleague-focused facilities service, ensuring the Fund's workplaces remain safe, compliant, efficient and fit for future organisational needs.
Core Role Accountabilities
- Facilities, Workplace & Real Estate Management: Deliver a high-quality property, facilities, workplace and health & safety service across the Fund's office locations, ensuring operational availability, statutory compliance and a positive colleague experience. Develop, implement and continuously improve facilities management strategies, policies, processes and workplace services. Maintain oversight of the Fund's corporate real estate portfolio, including landlord and managing agent relationships, lease obligations, service charges, space utilisation, lifecycle planning and future workplace requirements.
- Health, Safety, Compliance & Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant facilities management, health & safety and environmental legislation and standards, embedding the principles of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across the organisation. Ensure effective management of workplace risk assessments, DSE assessments, PEEPs, inspections, incidents and corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Supplier, Contract & Financial Management: Lead the management, monitoring and assurance of facilities suppliers, contractors and service providers, ensuring delivery against agreed budgets, service levels, KPIs and compliance requirements. Manage the facilities budget, providing effective forecasting, reporting and cost control.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead, develop and motivate the Facilities team, setting clear priorities, standards and expectations to deliver high-quality and consistent service delivery across all locations. Build effective relationships with colleagues, senior leaders, landlords, managing agents, suppliers and contractors to resolve issues and improve service outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Facilities & Operational Expertise: Significant facilities management experience across a multi-site corporate estate, including workplace services, statutory compliance, contractor management and corporate real estate oversight.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Proven experience leading and developing teams, including line management, performance management and workload prioritisation. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Commercial & Governance Skills: Strong commercial and financial management skills, including procurement, supplier management, contract governance and budget control.
Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and IOSH qualification; IWFM membership desirable.
