As a Scrap Yard Manager, you'll be responsible for all activities in the yard as well as the people. You'll make sure jobs are getting done to a high standard and that all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed. You'll also be inspecting daily deliveries and ensuring that the quality of scrap meets our standards. The yard has plenty going on so you'll need to be organised with a hands-on approach. Experience managing operations and people is essential. Ideally, you'll have knowledge of scrap metal and have experience operating machinery, but ultimately your managerial skills are what's important.
