Joining our Rod and Bar Mill Team as a Planning Engineer, you will be taking on a varied and exciting role.

You will be responsible for developing, communicating and maintaining maintenance plans and schedules, that balance maintenance requirements, production priorities, and resources, all whilst prioritising safety.

Some of your key responsibilities will include

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve SAP PM maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
  • Facilitate weekly maintenance planning and scheduling meetings with Maintenance and Production teams.
  • Develop weekly maintenance schedules based on preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance requirements whilst optimizing the use of available resources.
  • Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities to ensure efficient execution and minimal production disruption.
  • Work in a safe manner and actively promote a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture throughout the site.
  • Participate in risk assessments and support the development of maintenance procedures and safe systems of work.

You will be experienced in maintenance planning and scheduling, and ideally, you will have a background in the steel industry.

However, what is most important to us is your strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Your analytical mindset will support you to adapt and overcome challenges in our fast-paced rolling mill.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need a BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (minimum).
