Joining our Rod and Bar Mill Team as a Mechanical Project Engineer, no two days will be the same. You will be responsible for managing projects that will improve our plants efficiency, safety and reliability, as well as:
- Plan, prioritise, schedule and manage mechanical engineering projects, reliability initiatives and plant improvement programmes to enhance safety, performance and operational efficiency.
- Develop business cases, project scopes, technical specifications and cost estimates for CAPEX and improvement projects.
- Manage projects through all phases including concept development, engineering design, procurement, installation, commissioning and project close-out.
- Develop and implement plant reliability improvement strategies to reduce failures, improve asset availability and minimise maintenance costs.
Ideally, you will have a manufacturing background and be experienced in both mechanical maintenance and project management. You will have excellent knowledge of software systems, mechanical systems, such as gearboxes, and be proficient in using SAP.
