Joining our Rod and Bar Mill team as an Electrical Engineer, you will be working on some of the largest pieces of kit and machinery in the industry. Some of your accountabilities will include:
- Plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage electrical activities, for example planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs.
- Undertake development performance reviews for electrical craftspeople.
- Ensure that risk assessments, method statements and permits are created, implemented and followed.
- Estimate the cost, time, and resources required for repair and improvement projects.
- Work directly with engineers in other disciplines and shift managers to ensure effective running of the process.
- Lead and manage projects as well as a team of Electrical Technicians.
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer, who is passionate about continuous learning and is always looking to widen their skillset. You will have developed practical expertise in Power Engineering and Process Control, which will be backed up by strong academic knowledge. You will need:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum HNC)
- Experience of SCADA/HMI and PLC systems
- Strong knowledge and experience of large AC/DC motor controls, inverters and converters
- Hands-on engineer who will do what it takes to keep the plant running
- Experience of leading and developing successful teams
