The predicted salary is between 32460 - 32460 £ per year.
From tipping lorries to inspecting scrap metal, you will be covering all jobs in the Scrap Yard, with a particular focus on supporting operations within the shredder plant. One day you will be loading and operating the shredder, the next you could be completing maintenance checks or operating machinery across the yard. Health and safety will always be your number one priority, not only for yourself but also for the rest of your team.
You will have experience working in a yard or a similar environment. It is great if you have existing knowledge of scrap metal, but what is most important is that you are keen to learn and have the ability to pick up new skills. You will be responsible for operating and driving machinery, including excavators, 360-degree material handlers, and fork lifts, so it is ideal if you have operated this type of machinery before.

The scrap that you will process is sent to our Melt Shop where it is recycled into new steel products.
