Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and responsible Chemistry teacher to deliver engaging lessons aligned with our curriculum and pedagogy, inspire student loyalty, and drive measurable academic progress.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver IBDP and IGCSE Chemistry lessons by executing structured lesson plans that foster student engagement and comprehension.
  • Develop and refine lesson materials to support student learning and provide actionable feedback that drives visible academic improvement.
  • Build positive relationships with students to motivate them and help them realize their academic potential.
  • Collaborate in curriculum development and conduct regular reviews to ensure academic content remains relevant and effective.
  • Design and set examination and assessment papers, including question papers, resit papers, and answer keys, to accurately evaluate student knowledge.
  • Invigilate, mark, and systematically record exam and assessment results to maintain academic standards.
  • Perform moderation duties for other modules to ensure consistency and fairness in assessment practices.
  • Conduct online lessons effectively using platforms such as Zoom, leveraging software applications and productivity tools to enhance virtual learning experiences.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience teaching Chemistry at IGCSE and IBDP levels with familiarity in IGCSE or International Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in multilingual environments and conduct academic assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills to facilitate effective teaching and collaboration.
  • Highly motivated with a positive working attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in related subjects.
