Position Title: Warehouse Operator

Reports To: Operations Director

Salary: £25k - £28k

Overview

Joining a small but growing business, this independent role is responsible for overseeing and optimising all warehouse and logistics operations. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely and efficient order fulfilment, and smooth transportation coordination. The role will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize costs, enhance service levels, and support overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage daily operations, including receiving, storage, order processing, and dispatch.
  • Inventory Management: Implement systems and practices to maintain accurate stock levels while minimizing shortages and overstock.
  • Logistics Optimisation: Develop and execute strategies to streamline inbound and outbound logistics, reducing costs and improving turnaround times.
  • Transportation Management: Oversee transportation arrangements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall logistics performance.
  • Team Management: Although working independently, during large container deliveries, you will be required to organise, supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, ensuring safe and productive operations.
