The Business Development Executive role sits within the Sales team and reports directly to the Head of Sales. This is a new business focused role, responsible for identifying, engaging and qualifying new sales opportunities that support the continued growth of the business. You will play a key role in building our sales pipeline by researching prospects, initiating conversations, and creating meaningful engagement with potential customers. Working closely with Account Managers and the wider Sales team, you will help progress opportunities from initial contact through to qualified meetings, proposals & contracts. This role is well suited to someone who is confident, motivated and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in building relationships and opening doors. You will represent 67 Degrees professionally in the market, using your understanding of our products, services and industry to communicate value and generate interest. Travel may be required to attend prospect meetings, industry events or support new business activity where appropriate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Proactively identifying and researching new business opportunities within target markets
- Initiating outbound contact with prospective customers through phone, email and social channels
- Qualifying inbound and outbound leads to understand needs, budget and suitability
- Booking, leading and supporting discovery meetings
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Working closely with Account Managers and Sales leadership to progress opportunities effectively
- Maintaining accurate records of activity, leads and opportunities within CRM systems
- Representing 67 Degrees professionally during prospect interactions and events
- Supporting proposal development and follow up activity where required
- Keeping up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and market developments
- Providing regular reporting on activity levels, pipeline health and outcomes
- Continuously improving sales approach through feedback, coaching and learning
- Reaching out to potential customers over the phone, face to face and through online communication with the phone being the most prominent method.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years experience in a business development, sales or lead generation role
- Strong communication skills with confidence speaking to new contacts
- A proactive and resilient approach to outbound sales activity
- Ability to quickly understand customer needs and articulate value
- Organised and disciplined, with good time management skills
- Comfortable working towards targets and commercial objectives
- Confident using CRM systems and sales tools
- Willingness to learn and develop within a growing sales team
- Flexibility to travel and work outside of office hours
Desirable Skills (but not entirely essential):
- Experience within SaaS, digital, or automotive related industries
- Experience supporting new business or upsell activity
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Account Management tools
- Strong presentation, writing and reporting skills
- Familiarity with consultative or solution led sales approaches
- Experience booking and running discovery calls or meetings

Location & Working Pattern
This role is primarily office-based at our Shoreham-by-Sea headquarters in West Sussex, with flexible working available. Due to our office location, please note the following:
- There are no public transport links
- Applicants must be able to drive and hold a valid UK driving licence
- A reasonable commuting distance to Shoreham is essential
- A dedicated on-site parking space is included as part of the role
As a creative agency with a desire to nurture the talent in our business, we're committed to in-person collaboration and expect team members to attend the office minimum 3 days per week.
