As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the day‑to‑day operation of our Miele Experience Centre in Cambridge, working closely with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, develop team capability and ensure every customer receives a best‑in‑class brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of sales, customer experience, and operational objectives across the Experience Centre.
  • Coach, guide, and lead the sales team, fostering a positive and engaging working environment.
  • Deliver a premium brand experience and build long‑term customer relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat business.
  • Maintain store standards, displays, and customer service levels, ensuring the Centre reflects Miele’s quality and values.
  • Assist with rota planning, administration, stock management, and compliance activities to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Manage customer enquiries, resolve issues promptly, and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • When the Store Manager is absent, take responsibility for leading the Centre and ensuring business priorities and performance targets are achieved.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role with a strong track record of delivering sales results and customer service excellence.
  • Experience coaching and developing team members to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive sales performance while managing priorities and supporting operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills, confident in engaging with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, able to perform effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment and embrace new challenges.
