As an intern in the Mechanical Design team, you will work in a dynamic, goal‑oriented environment, collaborating with engineers on the newest and most innovative technologies in the energy industry.
Responsibilities
- Resolve technical problems through the application of acquired expertise and guided precedent.
- Collaborate with business units to explain technical issues and provide solutions.
- Design and validate mechanical assemblies, fixturing, and enclosures to meet customer and product specifications and project deadlines, using plastic and metal materials.
- Develop and release design documentation, including mechanical component and assembly drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams, system assembly drawings, and user manuals.
- Participate in FMEA and process‑mapping activities to identify and minimize design risks and optimize outcomes.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
- Present or review at technical and program reviews.
- Document technical data generated for projects in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.
- Contribute to long‑term design process improvements to drive productivity and efficiency.
- Initiate and implement design changes in accordance with business procedures.
- Provide manufacturing technical support and solutions for production‑related problems.
- Maintain high standards of documentation for evidence of conformity and technical explanations.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Review design specifications and requirements capture.

Qualifications
- Working towards a Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, etc.).
- Solid engineering understanding with practical hands‑on skills.
- Foundation in traditional manufacturing methods (DFM).
- Experience working in design teams.
- Knowledge of design principles for manufacture and assembly.
- Ability to generate high‑quality engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and practical problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good people and time‑management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
