We are looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead our Technical Services department at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making Of Harry Potter. The role involves maintaining all show related aspects such as lighting, sound, video, sets, props, show control and associated hardware and software, ensuring the Studio Tour operates to the highest standards while delivering a safe, world‑class visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, train and develop the Technical Services team, ensuring high performance and compliance.
  • Drive technical excellence by maintaining show systems, protecting assets and delivering planned preventative maintenance to maximise reliability and lifespan.
  • Champion health & safety, compliance and continuous improvement, proactively resolving technical issues and enhancing processes, systems and visitor experience.
  • Oversee resource planning and rota management to keep the department fully staffed and operationally efficient.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration to ensure effective forward planning and delivery of technical installations and show operations.
  • Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician (Tech Zero) to manage day‑to‑day operations and technical delivery across the Studio Tour.
  • Manage departmental budget, reporting (including downtime and P&L) and supplier relationships, ensuring strong cost control and SLA performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous management experience leading a Technical Services team within the tourism, leisure or heritage industry, ideally at a fast‑moving visitor attraction or live event.
  • Technical and maintenance expertise across AV installations/exhibits, including electronics, interactives, animatronics and networked show control systems.
  • Project management and supplier management experience with strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship expertise.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multi‑skilled technical teams in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of facilities management and work‑order systems, with effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills; ability to prioritise workload, adapt to change and collaborate across teams.
  • Relevant certifications (IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, NBOSH) are advantageous.

Working Pattern & Duty Management

This is a full‑time role (40 hours a week) with shifts, including regular weekend and evening work across a seven‑day rota. Flexible availability is required for weekends, bank holidays, school holidays and late evenings, rotating with other team members. Role is advertised as onsite; all working hours and days will be carried out at the place of work.
