Your New Role... An exciting opportunity has opened with the Buying team at Warner Bros. Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter. Reporting to the Head of Buying, The Junior Buyer position will be responsible for developing and selecting products for Warner Bros Studio Tour locations in the UK, Japan and North America, including the Studio Tour, Harry Potter Stores and our Ecommerce operations at our online Harry Potter Shop. Working closely with both vendors and licensees, as Junior Buyer you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of appealing products that deliver against sales and margin targets and ensuring product launches are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Design, and global teams to create innovative, customer-focused product ranges.
- Identify and develop commercial assortments tailored to relevant markets and forecast trends.
- Deliver category KPIs, manage critical paths from concept to launch whilst mitigating risk.
- Work closely with licensees and suppliers, internal key stakeholders and senior leadership on product development and sign off.
- Work with key stakeholders to review trade categories to maximise opportunities, onboard new suppliers, and contribute to supplier reviews.
- Lead and develop junior team members while building strong cross-functional relationships across the business.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional organisation skills, able to work simultaneously across multiple projects to tight deadlines.
- Commercial awareness complimented by creative flair
- Able to maintain excellent working relationships.
- Highly computer literate, with Microsoft Office skills at advanced level a must-have (Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
- Microsoft Dynamics experience desirable but not essential.
- Educated to a minimum of A-level (or significant vocational experience).
- Background working in Buying at Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer level.
