Your New Role
As Admissions Assistant Manager, you will support the Admissions Manager in delivering operational excellence across a high-volume visitor attraction.
Working closely with leadership teams across the business, you will play a key role in workforce planning, operational performance, stakeholder engagement, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience within a large-scale operation, is comfortable deputising for senior leaders, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Coordinate and develop a team of 7 Team Leaders through coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and objective setting.
- Lead the department Ambassador Programme, supporting engagement, capability building, and training consistency across the wider team.
- Oversee workforce planning, rostering, attendance monitoring, payroll processes, and operational staffing levels.
- Deputise for the Admissions Manager when required, representing the department with stakeholders and senior leadership while supporting key operational decisions.
- Monitor performance metrics, customer service standards, and visitor feedback to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Support the delivery of projects, operational initiatives, and continuous improvement activities in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Undertake rostered Duty Management responsibilities, acting as an escalation point for operational, visitor, and team member matters, including weekend working.
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership experience within a large-scale operational environment, managing teams through first-line leaders.
- Background in a fast-paced, customer-facing operation with responsibility for high visitor or customer volumes.
- Success in developing frontline leaders and supporting talent and succession initiatives.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting operational performance updates.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with experience contributing to projects, innovation, and operational change.
- Onsite Working
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work.
