Project Manager (ERP & SAP)
We are looking for a Project Manager for a 12‑month contract based in Bristol (3 days per week on‑site). Applicants must actively hold or be eligible to receive SC Clearance.
The Role & Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be part of the Applications & Data workstream, responsible for the ERP workstream. The focus is delivering an ERP capability integrated with a wider Engineering Application capability.
- Demonstrate knowledge of large‑scale SAP/ERP implementations with multiple integrations to other Enterprise systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of implementing upgrades from ECC6 to SAP4HANA.
- Ensure Programme Manager and other stakeholders are up to date with project progress on a regular basis.
- Ensure the project operates within the governance framework and resolve any problems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with technical architects and business analysts to deliver robust and scalable designs that meet business needs.
- Must comply with security methodologies, policies such as NIST CSF, SP800‑160, Secure by Design and internal Cyber Security guidelines.
- Maintain a Project Schedule / WBS – updating regularly and reporting progress to the PMO and the Applications and Data Programme Manager.
- Work with project team and stakeholders to complete Project Charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, budget and timing.
- Work with the IT PMO to ensure that project controls (Plans, RAID, Finance, etc.) are regularly updated and appropriately managed.
Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of digital solutions and associated business processes within the Digital Manufacturing domain including MES, IOT, SAP Production Planning (PP).
- Demonstrable IT architecture experience.
- Demonstrable service‑oriented technical leadership.
- Demonstrable technical leadership of complex technical and/or professional work activities.
- Provide financial reporting data on a regular basis to track expenditure of the projects/programme.
- Provide project oversight identifying gaps and facilitating effective communication channels and escalation paths for project managers, solution architects and senior stakeholders.
