Job Summary

As a general manager for a restaurant, you are the head of the restaurant, providing inspiring leadership to a team of workers that can motivate them to work harder and more effectively. You will work with your team to develop strategies that reduce costs and increase sales within the company, ensuring that patrons have an exceptional dining experience by upholding the company’s core values.

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive work environment for team members.
  • Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews of all team members.
  • Produce and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly budget forecasts.
  • Control profit and loss by following Corporate procedures (inventory, labor, cash management, etc.).
  • Perform profit and loss analysis.
  • Maintain the restaurant's revenue, profitability, and quality assurance goals.
  • Manage appropriate inventory levels in the products and plan accurately for forecasted sales trends.
  • Ensure high production, productivity, and 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver superior food and beverage service.
  • Respond efficiently and resolutely to restaurant customer complaints.
  • Oversee inventory and delivery of bar, food, retail, and restaurant supply orders.
  • Host and attend monthly business review meetings to communicate company initiatives and store performance and employee morale.
  • Responsible for marketing direction and promotions in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
  • Maintain functioning and cleanliness of equipment, facility, and grounds.
  • Ensure occupational, health, safety, and security codes and policy standards exceed expectations.
  • Communicate and engage employees and customers by supporting and promoting Corporate community give‑back initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in a restaurant management position with a demonstrated record of prior success.
  • Current ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Experience in a high‑volume restaurant.
  • Passion for food and hospitality.
  • Required to work over 50+ hours per week as business needs require.
  • Organized and attention‑to‑detail approach, including strong analytical and tactical execution.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, climb, push/pull, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
