We are looking for a Quality Managerto join our Sulzer Chemtech team in Middlesbrough, UK.
This will be a busy and varied roleresponsible for providing overall management, ownership and development of Tower Field Service Integrated Quality Management Systems and will ensure alignment and compliance to company wide Quality and Business Management Systems, ISO 9001 and other relevant internal/external standards.

Main Duties of the role will include (amongst others):
- Manage and develop the local Quality Management Systems and ensure alignment and compliance with the company wide Management System and Procedures
- Development and on-going management of Standard Operating Procedures, particularly in relation business practices and LEAN
- Management of Internal Audit Programme, ensuring effectiveness of existing processes and procedures. Conduct Internal Audits and generate/implement improvement plans.
- Management and improvement of the non-conformance system. Lead investigation and Root Cause Analysis. Drive implementation of corrective actions as a result of non-conformance, working alongside and assisting Operational management/supervision team.
- Plan, co-ordinate & lead supplier engagement from a quality management perspective.
- Monitor Rework and COPQ costs and carry out analysis of trends to highlight areas of improvement. Work alongside and assist operational team to implement improvement initiatives.
- Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.

- Drive quality improvements to deliver cost, OTD, and project quality benefits.
- Overall management of calibration records ensuring all equipment is calibrated to relevant standards and within inspection date.
- Ensure all company accreditation and certification is maintained and certificates are readily available.
- Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
- Be familiar with environmental aspects of activities undertaken in the role and the procedures and processes underpinning.
- Reporting and monitoring customer satisfaction and feedback
- Ensure relevant environmental reporting is completed on a monthly basis
To succeed in this role, you willIdeally need:
- Relevant experience within Quality Management role in a multi-faceted, medium to large organisation
- Membership or training with relevant bodies
- Previous experience of dealing with and managing a quality management system/process
- Experience of driving positive change through process improvement
- Thorough understanding of ISO accreditations and familiarisation of working to ISO 9001
- Proven experience in challenging and motivating others and achieving results through actions of others
- Mechanical engineering background desirable but not essential
