About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to support our global finance operations. This role will be hands-on, working closely with our CFO, and will be responsible for a wide range of finance activities. More specifically, the key responsibilities include:

    • Support in monitoring and managing cash positions including foreign exchange exposure
    • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline recurring manual processes, using AI tools where applicable
    • Administer the Brex spend management platform: card setup, transaction coding, and monthly reconciliation, ensuring card usage is in line with company policy
  • Project Accounting
    • Develop working proficiency in Kantata, our professional services automation (PSA) platform
    • Work with revenue and cost accountants and Service Operations to ensure accurate project data and project reporting
    • Lead role in production of project-level margin and utilisation reporting
    • Support the reconciliation between the PSA and Accounting systems, ensure correct and complete data.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting (FP&A)
    • Support the CFO in preparing monthly financial reporting, including monthly variance analysis vs budget
    • Maintenance of budgeting and forecasting models
    • Preparation of monthly reporting templates to investors and lenders
    • Preparing and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, updated weekly
  • IT and Software Administration
    • Support the CFO in overseeing license management and user administration of company-wide software tools
    • Track renewal dates, identify redundant licenses, and ensure cost efficiency
    • Liaise with department leads on understanding and managing licenses
    • Liaison with our outsourced IT provider

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in accounting or a related field
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) preferred, but not essential
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
  • The ideal candidate has experience from a professional services or project-based business, but this is not essential
  • Solid grasp of core accounting fundamentals and month-end close processes
  • Comfortable managing a range of varied tasks across multiple disciplines within finance operations
  • Strong financial systems literacy. Super-user of accounting and project management systems.
  • Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills; able to work with and reconcile large data sets
