Senior Roku Developer – TV & OTT Hybrid (London) ⏳ Permanent Up to £130K/year (Depending on experience) We are seeking an experienced Senior Roku Developer to join our team in collaboration with a leading client in the sports and media industry. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing cutting-edge streaming applications on the Roku platform. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about OTT technology, clean code, and delivering great user experiences. Responsibilities Develop high-quality, performant Roku applications using BrightScript and SceneGraph . Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences. Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs, including analytics, ad services, and streaming protocols (DASH/HLS). Review code, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions. Optimize app performance and troubleshoot production issues. Work in agile environments with iterative development cycles and CI/CD workflows. Requirements Experience in Roku app development, with deep expertise in BrightScript and SceneGraph . Strong understanding of Roku SDK , RAF (Roku Advertising Framework), and streaming media fundamentals. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and media delivery technologies. Experience with performance optimization, memory management, and debugging tools on Roku. Familiarity with Roku certification and app publishing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a distributed team.
