Trainee site engineer – Fully Supported and Funded Training Program Roaming role within the East Midlands – £13-£15p/h depending on experience 5D are proud to be working with a leading civils contractor company who are heavily involved in a variety of large infrastructure projects such as HS2, over recent years this company has grown to one of the UK’s biggest leading principal contractors and have an enviable reputation for efficiency and excellence. What we are looking for in a candidate: * Level 2 qualification in a suitable construction based subject. * Math’s and science GCSE’s at a grade 4 or above * Driving license and willingness to travel. * Some professional work experience preferably within the construction industry but other suitable sectors are fine During your training: * You’ll be working alongside an established and experienced site engineer supporting them on their sites. * Supporting them with relevant documentation and information. * As your training progresses, you will be exposed to more of the role. What the role will become: * Establishing site control * Setting up GPS base stations on site * Topographical surveys using GPS instruments * Setting out complex sites * Processing surveys * Quantifying stockpiles * Running earth work analysis * Checking machine control accuracy What we can offer the successful candidate: * Training and development which is in the form of an apprenticeship through to training on new equipment * Career progression, which is based on your individual ambitions * Vitality health insurance * 24 days holiday plus bank * Overtime and additional bonus Unfortunately, sponsorship cannot be offered for this role
