Trainee Electrical Fitters / Machine Builders Training, Development & Mentoring Opportunity – MUST have Electrical Engineering Knowledge £26k-£28k DOE + Regular Overtime paid at Enhanced Rates Based Letchworth 5D Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively, and in partnership with a leading engineering company based in the heart of the home counties. Employing nearly 50 people they design, manufacture, assemble, test, and ship bespoke machinery from their new, world-class facility. They are market leaders in the concept design and manufacture of fully automated, high precision, bespoke machines which are used to complete complex functions required to guarantee the quality of the product. Working across a variety of industries their main markets include the medical and scientific sectors, and they supply to some of the biggest names in the sector. As part of our commitment to developing the next generation of engineers we are looking to recruit trainee engineers who will be mentored and trained to be able to build bespoke machinery from the ground up. What we are Looking in a Candidate: * Experience or exposure to electrical engineering, ideally with a qualification, but this is not essential. * A willingness and an ability to learn the products and the processes. * Someone who can work well under instruction from a mentor. * Someone who takes pride in their work. What the Role will evolve into: * Building a bespoke machine, electrically, from the ground up. * Working from engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures to electrically build the machines, this includes running and terminating cables, assembly of junction boxes, and other sub-assemblies, and some basic panel wiring. * Installing electrical sub-assemblies and wiring them into the machines, as well as terminating cables, and installing control panels. * Fitting electrical systems into the machinery frames and seeing the machine build from start to finish. * Working with the engineering team throughout the build and test phase.
