Technical Trainer(s) x2 – Rail Industry – Home Based Role Permanent Role – Β£38k – Β£45k (dependent on experience and qualifications) Electrical Engineering – Delivering Bespoke Training to Rolling Stock Technicians 5D is delighted to be working alongside a blossoming new training academy who are changing the way training is constructed and delivered. With their City & Guilds accreditation, their new approach has been really well received within the industry and from both the course attendees and their managers. After winning some sizable contracts with two of the largest train operating companies (TOC’s), and a very strong pipeline, we are looking to add two technical trainers to the team. What the role will involve: * Delivery of technical training courses to a wide variety of rolling stock professionals, from apprentices through to commissioning and test engineers. * Completing assessments of all candidates and providing detailed feedback on their performance and answers. * Coaching and mentoring the course attendees to get the best out of them. * Contributing and writing new course content – this could be a bespoke course that has been requested by a client, or a generic course that can be offered to the wider market. * Course requirements are electrical based, including electrical safety, line of route, fault finding and diagnostics, through to electrical approved person, and train the trainer courses. What we are looking for in a Candidate: * Level 3 qualified in electrical engineering. * A passion for training and developing engineers within the industry, including helping to train the next generation of rail engineers. * Experience ideally in the rolling stock industry, alternatively experience in a highly regulated, heavy industry. * Some experience in training and assessing would be beneficial, ideally backed up with a level 2 or level 3 training and assessing qualification. If you have experience, but no qualification we can provide the qualification. * Willingness to travel UK wide to deliver training courses. What we can offer the successful candidates: * Home based role with flexibility and a true work life balance. * Expenses are paid from leaving home. * Happy to invest in the right candidate and put through a City & Guilds accredited training and assessment course – Level 2 and/or Level 3. * Part time, full time, contract, and project based roles are also possible.
