Based in Suffolk, working on a large Sizewell C infrastructure project with a salary of £60k-£70k. The role includes a company vehicle and fuel card (can be used for personal mileage), 24 days holiday, bank holidays, and health insurance.
5D are working with a leading civils contractor involved in HS2 and various other blue-chip construction and infrastructure projects. This business has grown to be one of the UK’s leading principal contractors over the last twenty years, developing a reputation for excellence.
Working on road and infrastructure upgrades on the Sizewell C site, this project is estimated to last at least 3 years and focuses on earthworks for road and infrastructure upgrades around the site.
What the Role Will Involve:
- Establishing site control.
- Setting up GPS base stations on site.
- Topographical surveys using GPS instruments.
- Calculating volumetrics from the data gathered.
- Setting out of complex sites.
- Processing surveys.
- Quantifying stockpiles and running earthworks analysis.
- Checking machine control accuracy and completing site QA.
- Diagnosing machine control faults.
What we are Looking for in a Candidate:
- Experienced site engineer with groundworks experience, ideally with large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Located close to the site.
- Full driving licence.
