5D are working with a niche manufacturer of building products, specialising in the manufacture of decorative building products and supplying aggregates to the construction industry. Due to growth, we are looking to grow the maintenance team to ensure the plant is kept running smoothly.
What the role will involve:
- Preventative and reactive maintenance of heavy plant used in the construction industry, including conveyors, mixers, batching plants and packaging equipment.
- Working on the heavy plant in the yard, including FLT’s, loaders etc.
- Fault finding on breakdowns and getting the plant up and running as quickly and safely as possible.
- Working on preventative maintenance, which will include working through existing PPM’s.
- Component wise, you’ll be working on motors, bearings, gearboxes, rollers, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
- Updating the IT system to ensure stock levels of critical parts are accurately maintained.
The Person:
- 3 years’ experience working as a maintenance fitter in a heavy industry environment.
- Mechanical biased.
