Mechanical Fitter / Machine Builder x2 £30-£32k + Regular Overtime paid at Enhanced Rates Based Baldock Building Bespoke Machinery – Working from Engineering Drawings / Sub-Assembly & Assembly Build 5D Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively, and in partnership with a leading engineering company based in the heart of the home counties. Employing nearly 50 people they design, manufacture, assemble, test, and ship bespoke machinery from their new, world-class facility. They are market leaders in the concept design and manufacture of fully automated, high precision, bespoke machines which are used to complete complex functions required to guarantee the quality of the product. Working across a variety of industries their main markets include the medical and scientific sectors. They have long-standing agreements with some of the most renowned manufacturers in their sector, with a growing order book, and an excellent pipeline the future is looking exciting. What the Role Will Involve: * Building machinery, mechanically, from the ground up. * Working from engineering drawings and SOPs to include building sub-assemblies, and assemblies varying in complexity. * Fitting of pumps, valves, tanks, push-fit pipework, pneumatic systems, robotics, conveyor build. * Fitting sub-assemblies into the machinery frames and seeing the machine build from start to finish. * Communicating any design changes / as built drawing requests to the team leader to ensure engineering documentation is correct. What we are Looking in a Candidate: * Experience in mechanical assembly including sub-assembly build. * Physically fit – this role involves building large, bespoke machinery. * Can read engineering drawings. * Ideally someone with some welding knowledge or experience.
