Our IT Services team have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (known internally as Senior Platforms & Operations Engineer). The successful candidate will technically lead 3rd line support of Osborne Clarke's global Data and Voice Network Infrastructure, Platforms, Servers and Systems, whilst playing key roles in migrations and deployments enabling OC to sustain a well-established cloud-first approach. This is a permanent position based out of our London office, combined with some home working.
What you’ll do:
- Technically lead the team from a project delivery and a day to day point of view, providing a comprehensive level of support to the global business for Osborne Clarke's physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure, connectivity including wired and wireless networks, and key services such as e-mail, telephony and SaaS, PaaS & IaaS platforms.
- Technical lead across project delivery for the ITS Platform & Network Operations team. Helping co-ordinate technical tasks and activities in conjunction with Project Managers.
- Where needed, deputise for the Operations & Engineering manager to provide additional oversight and management support of the team.
- Provide professional support to Osborne Clarke so that our clients receive consistently excellent services. Understand and adopt the principles of acting as a professional service provider.
- Support and follow Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management procedures.
