We’re supporting a growing cybersecurity consultancy that is expanding its security architecture and technical consulting capability due to increasing demand for specialist advisory and architecture services. They are looking for an experienced Senior Cyber Architect to support organisations in embedding secure-by-design principles across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments — helping clients design secure systems from initial architecture through to implementation.

This is a consulting role where you will work across multiple industries and client environments, providing technical security architecture, advisory services, and practical guidance to help organisations manage cyber risk and implement best‑practice security controls.

The Role

  • Delivering security architecture consulting services across diverse client environments and sectors.
  • Designing secure architectures across cloud, hybrid and on‑prem infrastructure.
  • Producing key security architecture artefacts including threat models, risk assessments, architecture blueprints, and high/low‑level design documentation.
  • Advising clients on implementing security controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and NCSC CAF.
  • Supporting complex transformation programmes, working alongside programme and project teams.
  • Conducting cyber assessments and consultancy engagements either independently or as part of a wider consulting team.
  • Developing cyber security roadmaps and operating models for client organisations.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to engineering teams, leadership stakeholders, and client technical teams.
  • Contributing to the growth of the consultancy’s architecture and technical consulting services.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, SOC and consulting teams, helping clients translate security strategy into practical and effective technical solutions.

Key Experience

  • Experience designing and implementing cyber security architecture across cloud, hybrid and enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft cloud technologies including Azure and M365, with exposure to AWS also beneficial.
  • Experience producing architecture artefacts such as threat modelling, risk assessments and design documentation.
  • Knowledge of major security frameworks including NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials or NCSC CAF.
  • Experience working within consulting, advisory, or client-facing roles.
  • Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting large transformation programmes or complex enterprise initiatives.

Certifications (Desirable)

  • Certifications are not essential but are beneficial, including: CISSP, CISM or CISA; SABSA, TOGAF or other architecture certifications; Microsoft or cloud security certifications across Azure or AWS.

Why This Role

Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high‑quality security architecture and advisory services, rather than purely compliance‑driven engagements. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work on complex security architecture and transformation programmes across multiple industries.
  • Influence how organisations implement secure‑by‑design architectures.
  • Support the growth of a consulting and architecture practice within a growing cybersecurity firm.
  • Join a collaborative team of experienced technical consultants who share knowledge and expertise.
