We’re partnering with a boutique data and digital analytics consultancy that has built a strong reputation across the UK Central Government departments. Following sustained organic growth, they are now seeking a Public Sector Technology Lead, a senior, commercially focused leader who will drive client engagement and expansion across departments including DWP, Home Office, and MoD, among others.
This role sits at the intersection of client leadership, commercial strategy, and technology/digital/data consulting. You’ll lead relationships with senior stakeholders across central government, identify and shape new opportunities, and influence how departments approach their most complex data, technology, and transformation challenges.
You will adopt a consultative, outcomes-focused approach, selling programmes of work, advisory services, or bespoke solutions rather than off-the-shelf products. This is not a hard-sell environment. Instead, it’s about trusted advisory relationships, understanding client needs before they reach procurement, and positioning the consultancy as a go-to strategic partner.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced consultant with experience in data, digital transformation, IT consulting, or Technology Services within Central Government. You’ll be someone who thrives on building relationships, advising senior stakeholders, and shaping meaningful, data-driven solutions.
For those who want to stay close to delivery, there’s flexibility to remain billable up to 25% of your time supporting projects that deepen client trust and impact.
What You’ll Do
- Build and deepen trusted relationships across Central Government departments.
- Expand the consultancy’s public sector presence across departments such as DWP, Home Office, and MoD.
- Act as a credible advisor in data, digital, or IT transformation, helping shape pragmatic, outcomes-led solutions.
- Identify opportunities and lead the growth of new client engagements across target departments.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to design, scope, and win impactful projects.
- Champion the consultancy’s position as a strategic public sector partner.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven background in data consulting, analytics, IT transformation, or digital services within the public sector (essential).
- Ideally, existing senior relationships within central government departments such as DWP, Home Office, or MoD (essential).
- Ability to translate data, AI, digital, or technology concepts into tangible public sector outcomes.
- Commercially minded, curious, and adept at influencing senior decision-makers.
- A natural relationship-builder who enjoys solving complex client challenges.
Why Join
- Bonus & Profit Share: 10–15% bonus plus significant annual profit share.
- Equity & Exit: Be part of a business with a defined EMI exit plan and genuine ownership opportunity.
- Impactful Work: Shape data, digital, and technology initiatives that improve public services and citizen outcomes.
- Flexibility: Remote-first, outcome-focused culture with the option of a 4-day work week.
- Career Growth: Join a rapidly scaling consultancy with strong year-on-year expansion.
If you’re a commercially minded leader with expertise in data, digital, or technology consulting within central government and you’re ready for a role that combines impact, influence, and equity — we’d love to hear from you.
