A fast-scaling cyber security consultancy is investing heavily in its Security Operations & Managed Services offering and is looking for a SOC Senior Presales Consultant to play a key role in driving that growth. While the core focus is SOC / MDR, we’re equally keen to speak with candidates who bring broader cybersecurity experience across consultancy, offensive security, or wider security services.
The role: You’ll act as the technical advisor across SOC opportunities, working closely with sales and delivery teams to design, position, and win complex managed security deals.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading SOC / MDR solution discussions with clients
- Shaping customer requirements into scalable, commercially viable solutions
- Supporting the full sales lifecycle from discovery through to proposal and close
- Contributing to RFPs, bids, and managed service proposals
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CISO, Head of Security, IT leadership)
- Collaborating with operations to ensure solutions are realistic and deliverable
What we’re looking for:
- Broad knowledge across cyber security domains (e.g. SOC/MDR, GRC, offensive security, cloud security)
- Background in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or cyber consulting
- Understanding of detection & response and managed security services
- Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
- A commercial mindset with the ability to bridge sales, technology, and delivery
Also of interest: We welcome candidates with broader cyber security exposure (e.g. GRC, offensive security, cloud security, consultancy), who are keen to lean into or deepen their SOC expertise.
Why consider this role:
- High-impact, visible position aligned to company growth
- Opportunity to help scale a recurring revenue SOC proposition
- Exposure to wider cyber offerings, not just siloed SOC
- Join a business with strong backing and ambitious plans.
If you’re a client-facing presales cyber professional who enjoys shaping solutions and wants to play a key role in a growing consultancy, this is worth exploring.
