- Remote-first with occasional travel
Take ownership of complex security architecture projects and help clients turn challenging security requirements into practical technical decisions.
We're recruiting a Senior Security Architect for an established cybersecurity consultancy, supporting clients across complex, regulated and security-sensitive environments.
You'll work closely with clients to understand their challenges, shape secure solutions and guide technology change.
This is a role that combines hands-on architecture expertise with the opportunity to influence decisions, build trusted relationships and see your recommendations put into practice.
Why consider the move?
You'll have end-to-end architecture ownership, direct access to client stakeholders and variety across enterprise environments.
Working alongside other cybersecurity specialists, you'll tackle different technologies, business priorities and levels of security maturity, giving you scope to use your strengths and broaden your experience.
- What you'll be doing
- Leading security architecture engagements, translating business needs and security requirements into robust, deliverable designs.
- Assessing existing and proposed architectures, identifying gaps, evaluating technical trade-offs and recommending improvements.
- Designing security controls across cloud platforms, identity, networks, software delivery and monitoring.
- Guiding technology change, helping project teams embed security into their decisions from the outset.
- Applying Zero Trust and defence-in-depth principles to protect enterprise systems and data.
- Presenting recommendations to technical and senior business stakeholders, making complex issues clear and connecting design decisions to business risk.
- Working alongside client teams to support implementation and provide ongoing architecture expertise.
- What you'll bring
You'll have a strong grounding in security architecture and cloud security, with experience owning end-to-end designs for environments with demanding security requirements.
We're looking for
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise security controls and technologies.
- Cloud security expertise across Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Strong capability across relevant areas such as identity and access management, network security, Dev Sec Ops and security monitoring.
- An understanding of security risk management, secure software development and enterprise governance.
- Familiarity with SABSA or TOGAF, alongside relevant standards and guidance such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks and cloud Well-Architected Frameworks.
Just as important is your approach to clients.
You'll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and challenge constructively, with the confidence to explain both your recommendations and the reasoning behind them.
