Position Summary: A Crew Lead is responsible for coordinating residential installs of each system efficiently, in a timely and quality manner. Good leadership, communication, and documentation skills are essential when working on the roof.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the entire installation project
  • Ensure safety on the job site
  • Complete installation on various roof types and ground mounts
  • Supervise quality and efficiency of work performed on site
  • Communicate with Roof Lead and Branch Manager about any needed changes
  • Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment
  • Fill out job documents thoroughly and completely
  • Collect data and photos for each job
  • Promote teamwork to improve productivity
  • Drive company vehicle safely to and from jobs
  • Manage truck tools and material inventory
  • Supervise troubleshooting and fixing projects
  • Clean up the job site
  • Travel as required for extended periods
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Minimum 1+ year experience, including at least 6 months leading a crew; Electrical and roof racking experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Motivated with attention to productivity, detail, and safety
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment
  • Willingness to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and work on your feet for long periods
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication, customer service skills
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work in extreme environments
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record

Special Skills & Training: Proficient with power and hand tools; able to teach others safe tool use

Physical Demands: Use hands to handle objects, stand, walk, climb, kneel, reach, see details, grasp small objects, and make precise adjustments; Lift and carry heavy objects, react quickly, and maintain balance

Travel Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and insurance to operate a personal vehicle for business travel.
