Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join AFRY\βs Energy Division within the expanding Renewable Energy team in the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you\\\βll lead the delivery of renewable energy projects-supporting clients from development through to construction, with a focus on Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multi-contract and EPC projects through pre-construction and construction phases
- Support clients and funders to reach Financial Close
- Lead tendering and contract negotiations for major equipment and Balance of Plant packages
- Prepare project delivery plans, budgets, and programmes
- Administer construction contracts and manage variations and claims
- Ensure safety standards and statutory roles are met
- Contribute to business development and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
We expect you to have the following skills (but we don\\\βt expect anyone to tick every box):
- A degree in an Engineering, Project Management or Renewables focused subject
- Be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards / close to Chartered or Incorporated status); or Project Management Professional status or working towards it
- A minimum of 6 years\\\β experience as a Project Manager on renewable energy projects or a closely related infrastructure sector is a requirement with experience of performing the PSDP role on projects
- You have a proven track record on business development
- You are a self-starter, ambitious and able to manage multiple tasks. You have excellent written and oral communication skills and are willing to work in a variety of different roles
Experience of one or more of the following would be an advantage
- Recognised Project Management training;
- Business management experience
- Previous experience providing consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment;
- Commercial awareness and contract knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, NEC or similar);
- Design experience gained from concept development and detailed engineering;
- Practical experience gained from construction, commissioning, and testing;
