SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing emergent and non-emergency medical care at worksites designated by the client or outlined in the scope of work (SOW). Such worksites may include drilling rigs, hazardous construction zones, or areas with high workforce density. The RHCP provides primary and emergency care to client employees, contractors, and subcontractors at the worksite or designated area. In addition to routine medical services and emergency response, the RHCP conducts safety checks and evaluates medical gear and equipment required for the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Providing urgent and emergency care for all workers on the client worksite
- Performing accurate clinical assessments and examinations
- Maintaining up-to-date, accurate medical records using a computer-based system
- Reporting medical treatments as per client requirements
- Traveling with patients to the nearest approved medical facility if necessary
- Ensuring critical medical supplies and equipment are pre-packed and available for emergencies or patient transport
- Participating in client-organized simulation exercises
- Being familiar with Remote Healthcare Provider (RHCP) guidelines and Recordable Case Management (RCM) protocols
- Understanding the RMI Field Operations Manual (FOM)
- Being aware of the Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP), Topside, and Global Coordination Center (GCC) procedures, including medevacs and patient transfers
- Understanding disease prevention, control, and management processes in the field
- Referring non-resolving or complex cases to Topside Support or secondary diagnostics
- Stabilizing, managing, and monitoring emergency cases until evacuation
- Managing emergency cases on-site and communicating with client EHS or Operations personnel
- Reporting case categories to the designated line manager or EHS Supervisor
- Taking action on reportable diseases and infection outbreaks
- Maintaining clinic readiness with appropriate medicines, equipment, and consumables as per RHCP guidelines and SOW
- Performing routine maintenance and checks on clinic equipment
- Carrying out health and hygiene management processes as directed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years as an independent and fully qualified Paramedic or Nurse. Active Medical License in good standing. Other high-level paramedic or nursing licenses may be considered as required. Previous experience in remote medical support is preferred but not mandatory.
