Basic Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED equivalency.
- 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
- Ability to safely use a variety of hand, power and shop tools such as drills, pipe cutters, table saw, sanding and grinding equipment.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to help implement solutions.
- Ability to ask questions and communicate effectively.
- Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install workstations and workstations accessories
- Help create fixtures or set-up devices as required
- Work in a variety of departments
- Responsible for tracking and maintaining inventory of necessary supplies
- Observe and maintain 5s and Visual Management within own work area
- Assist with proto-type or first time builds solutions as required
- Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of department layout
- Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment to ensure all are current.
- Develop expertise in the Lean function; attend training when available
- Crosstrain other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
- Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
- Perform basic Oracle transactions as required.
- Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
- Keep all shift operators informed of special problems, changes, and progress in the department
- Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues.
- Perform troubleshooting responsibilities.
- Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
- Participates in and support team initiatives.
- Understands and abides by the GE Behaviors.
- Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for Lean and Continuous Improvement
- Experience with machining, welding, soldering, fabrication, or other skilled trades
- Experience in a self-directed teaming environment
- Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize work.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
- Ability to work in multiple body postures as these builds require a person to work bending at times.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when boxes of material need to be restocked to pick locations.

The pay for this position is $20/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 8/31 /25.
