JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting an Electrical Technician on a core basis for ENI OSI, mobilising from Blackpool.
Maintaining equipment availability to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all safety systems, process facilities and utilities to allow import from Douglas and export to off take tankers of crude oil.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Act as Electrical duty holder which involves having sufficient knowledge and competence to maintain electrical equipment to a safe standard complying with Electricity at work regulations, COMPEX and Client Electrical Safety Rules
- Conduct isolations and de-isolations of electrical equipment, in a safe manner within own discipline, as per Client Electrical Safety Rules.
- Raise work orders and work permits as appropriate to progress work, also act as authorised signatory for vendors and contractors including authorisation of work place risk assessments (WPRA), inhibits, over-ride logs and audits of the system.
- When appointed will act as Senior Authorised Electrician for electrical permit approval.
- Continually monitor, adjust and record parts of plant to ensure the electrical distribution and generation are maintained within specification.
- Maintain instrumentation systems / process and utility / fire and gas and ESD protection systems.
- Identify suitable standards of isolation and equipment preparation prior to handover for maintenance to either core crew or third parties as per BHPB Electrical safety rules.
- Provide first line repair of IT and telecommunications equipment under guidance from healthcare/vendors.
- Progress planned maintenance and operational duties as required to meet shift objectives
- Prepare work orders and work permits, requiring isolation as appropriate to progress maintenance activities
- Diagnose and rectify faults to maximise equipment availability and report all defects to management
- Carry out effective troubleshooting to maximize installation efficiency, identify spares required, and initiate ordering of same.
- Monitors and controls work by vendors/contractors within own remit.
- Fundamental to Installation recovery from level zero.
- Input accurate data into SAP for recording of working time (Time writing) and historical data.
- Operate as part of the multi-tasking Operations Team, assisting with helicopter, supply boat process and tanker operations as required.
- Provide electrical input and feedback into the installation work planning process
- Provide technical assistance and support as required during process shutdown and start up
