Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and creative Account Executive (Marketing Strategy & Account Services) to join the Strategy and Account Services team within the 54 Marketing division. This role supports the delivery of integrated marketing programmes across 54’s portfolio of Brand and Event Marketing clients. You’ll help manage day‑to‑day client communications, support strategy development, and coordinate internal specialist teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on brief and to a high standard. Working closely with strategic and account leads, you’ll liaise with colleagues across Advertising, Brand & Creative, Earned Media, Social Media and Content, helping turn strategic direction into well‑managed outputs and campaigns. The successful candidate will be based in 54’s Wimbledon office, with some international travel to service clients around the world. An understanding and passion for sport (particularly golf), alongside awareness of the wider golf media landscape and an interest in marketing, is preferred. You’ll be highly organised, confident managing multiple projects and tight deadlines, and comfortable working across Microsoft Office applications with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Supporting Strategy Development: Support strategic leads in the development of marketing strategies, including research, competitor reviews, audience insights and channel recommendations. Help translate strategic direction into clear deliverables (briefs, timelines, asset lists, channel plans). Contribute to the development of client materials, including presentations, contact reports and recap documents.
- Client Account Management: Act as a day‑to‑day point of contact for clients alongside the account lead, ensuring responsive and professional communication. Maintain strong client relationships through clear updates, proactive follow‑ups and consistent documentation. Support meeting preparation, agenda creation, note‑taking and action tracking to ensure momentum and accountability.
- Project Management & Delivery: Manage tasks and workflows across multiple workstreams, ensuring deadlines, dependencies and approvals are clearly tracked. Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to deliver work on time, on brief and within scope. Quality check outputs before client review, ensuring accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
- Marketing Consultancy & Integrated Coordination: Support cross‑channel campaign delivery, working with specialist teams across social, content, creative, advertising and earned media. Help brief internal teams clearly, ensuring objectives, deliverables, timelines and success measures are understood. Ensure alignment across channels so execution reflects the agreed strategy and brand standards.
- Reporting, Analysis & Project Admin: Support campaign and project reporting, including compiling updates, performance summaries and learnings. Assist with budget tracking, invoicing support and general project administration where required. Maintain organised account documentation (status trackers, filing, WIPs, meeting notes, timelines).
- Commercial & Team Support: Support account leads with resourcing updates and visibility across priorities and workload. Contribute to internal ways‑of‑working improvements (templates, processes, workflow hygiene). Where appropriate, support new business activity (credential updates, pitch research, proposal support).
Special Skills/Experience/Aptitudes Needed
- Highly organised and detail‑focused: able to run trackers, manage moving parts and keep work clean and accurate.
- Strong written comms: confident writing clear emails, contact reports, briefs, minutes and presentation copy.
- Client‑ready presence: professional, friendly and confident on calls/meetings; comfortable speaking up and asking the right questions.
- Project coordination instincts: understands timelines, dependencies, approvals and can keep people on track without heavy oversight.
- Proactive problem solving: spots risks early and brings solutions, not just issues.
- Able to juggle priorities: calm under pressure; can switch between tasks and still deliver to tight deadlines.
- Collaborative operator: enjoys working across creative, social, content, earned and advertising teams; good at getting alignment.
- Commercial awareness: understands scope, budget sensitivity and the importance of keeping work efficient and on‑brief.
- Interest in sport (ideally golf): awareness of the golf media / events landscape and what resonates with fans and partners.
- Presentation confidence: comfortable building decks, sense‑checking story flow and supporting leads in client presentations.
- Platform and campaign literacy (nice to have): basic understanding of social platforms, content formats, paid vs organic and simple performance metrics.
- Tools competence: strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); bonus if familiar with project tools (Asana/Trello/Monday) and Google Workspace.
- Positive energy and can‑do mindset: brings momentum, takes ownership and is reliable in the “get it done” moments.
