ROLE OVERVIEW:
The company is looking to fill a newly created position for an investment and strategy analyst to join the 54 finance team. Supporting our CFO, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take a leading role in the growth and development of our agency. The role will support the delivery of an investment strategy and execution as the business looks to expand through M&A and strategic partnerships. The role will require the ability to digest information from multiple data sources, synthesise with multiple internal departments and support the strategic delivery and integration of new businesses into the Group.
The candidate must be highly financially literate and be confident in presenting complexity in a simple format to senior management. Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage as well as an understanding and experience of working within the events, marketing and/or services sector.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Active member of the investment committee
· Research and origination of new deals in growth businesses
· Performing commercial and financial due diligence; building financial models
· Working on deal execution – deal structuring, negotiation of terms, managing advisors
· Working closely with members of the C-Suite to organise and manage meeting content and actions
· Coordinating contribution alongside FP&A manager from all different business units of the Group to support with strategy development and integrations
· Supporting creation of presentations for Shareholders / Board / Investment Committee, etc.
· Individual development projects
· M&A & other transactions
· Other Group Strategy related topics
SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/APTITUDES NEEDED:
2-3 years full-time working experience with Investment Banking, transactions team, Private Equity, or similar environment
· Familiar with various financial models and valuation methods
· Excellent excel skills and be capable to build complicated formulas/models
· Detail oriented, in particular for numbers and presentations
· Comfortable with multi-tasking, intense work pace and tight deadlines
· Good communication skills as this role requires coordinating with different internal & external parties
· Previous knowledge/experience in events related industry is preferred but not required
· ability to see things through.
· Strong attention to detail, with track record in analysis, modelling and forecasting
