Role Overview

Salary £69,802.27 per annum. You’ll assist our engineering management team at Plumstead in leading a talent team of colleagues, from apprentices, coachbuilders through to skilled engineers and administrative/support functions. The remit primarily serves to assist the Engineering Manager in the day‑to‑day operational management of the local engineering function, encompassing an array of areas from garage premises to equipment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable and well‑established experience level at middle management within an automotive/heavy‑vehicle context, with historic experience of tool‑based work.
  • Familiarity with best practice standards, notably related to Health, Safety, Quality & Environment.
  • Understanding of quality standards required by DVSA, TfL and the Department of Transport.
  • Excellent technical knowledge; PCV experience preferred, though not essential.
  • Great people skills, adaptability and ability to lead by example in an inclusive and diverse business.
