What we’re looking for

  • Creativity: Craft exceptional, high quality player experiences and visual assets in‑keeping with the style of game or interface.
  • Motion Graphics: Bring interfaces to life with motion, animation, and satisfying interactions that make gameplay feel smooth, rewarding, and memorable, and, where necessary, be responsible for handing these to developers in a clear and concise manner for final production.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and cross‑functional teams to create polished, cohesive player experiences.

Skills and Experience

  • UX Design: A solid and demonstrable understanding of UX principles, user needs and motivations and the empathy and ability to apply this knowledge to designs. Strong experience and knowledge of the UX process, user flows, wireframing etc. User research experience is an advantage as is previous UX experience with games.
  • UI Design: A flair for artistry and ability to create layouts and visual assets to a very high standard. Strong attention to detail. Game visual design experience is highly desirable, but not essential. Experience with touchpanel interfaces also advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced in the use of design software, particularly Figma and the Adobe suite. Proficiency using motion graphics software such as Rive and/or After Effects. An understanding of front‑end code such as HTML and CSS and an interest in how designs will be built. A strong technical understanding is a distinct advantage.
  • Self‑Motivated: Proactive and able to manage own time, set priorities, and consistently move projects forward with initiative and minimal oversight.
  • Collaboration: Must be experienced in working closely with other designers, developers and members of the wider cross‑functional team.
