500 Logistics is a growing Freight Forwarder based in Thatcham offering all modes of transport including customs. The role is office based in Thatcham and will be varied but will focus mainly on the day-to-day freight forwarding operation including quoting, booking and managing a transport movement from start to finish. This will involve but is not limited to:
- Raising and arranging customs clearances
- Managing booking slots with suppliers and receivers
- Keeping customers fully updated on the status of their movement
- Creating and updating bookings on our Freight Management Software
The role will require constant communication by telephone and email to our customers and hauliers in order to provide an exceptional logistics service.
Key Requirements
- Positive and solution based approach to work
- Confident communicating via both phone and email
- Proven experience in Freight Forwarding or similar
- Previous use of Microsoft office packages in a work environment
- Be able to learn new IT systems quickly and accurately
- Be a team player that is focused on delivering the best possible customer experience
