Following significant growth, we\’re looking to further expand our team with a Sales Executive at 500 Logistics. As a business, we offer full logistics services to include road freight, air & sea freight, and customs clearances.
We\’re now seeking an experienced and motivated salesperson who is looking for a rewarding position. B2B sales experience is required but product training on freight and customs will be provided if you do not already have this.
The role requires:
- Excellent telephone-based sales and client development, maximising the business potential
- Identifying potential new business market sectors
- Targeting relevant Logistics Managers/Supply Chain Managers
- Preparing quotes for new business
- Account management will be required for specific clients
- Opening credit accounts for new clients
- Working directly with the operations team to ensure everything goes smoothly
After an initial training period, the job would involve the research and identification of suitable new businesses to target. Ongoing training will be needed to properly understand the complexities and specific requirements of international transport and customs.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Proven experience making structured and effective cold calls through to closing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to pick up new systems and information quickly
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- IT and computer literate
- Strong tenacity and work ethic
- Ability to self-motivate
- Be a team player
- An additional language is advantage but not essential
