Role Overview
500 Global is seeking a senior leader to drive the execution of capital mobilization and support the structuring of private market development vehicles in partnership with governments, development finance institutions (DFIs), multilateral organizations, and philanthropic capital providers. This role will play a critical part in advancing investment platforms that catalyze venture capital and private investment ecosystems in emerging and frontier markets. These vehicles may combine public, philanthropic, and commercial capital to support entrepreneurship, innovation, and private‑sector development aligned with national priorities. Working closely with the Managing Partner and senior leadership, the Head of Capital Mobilization will lead day‑to‑day execution of capital strategy, investor engagement, and transaction processes, ensuring successful design and delivery of investment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Structuring & Execution
- Lead the execution and coordination of country and regional‑level investment platforms, including:
- National venture capital funds
- Fund‑of‑funds programs
- Blended finance vehicles
- Responsibilities include:
- Translating high‑level strategy into executable investment structures
- Developing investment theses and detailed financial models
- Designing and refining capital structures
- Supporting governance design and implementation
- Ensuring alignment with sovereign priorities and delivery timelines
- Multilateral organizations
- Government and bilateral agencies
- Family offices and philanthropic capital
- Strategic corporate partners
- Managing investor pipelines and outreach processes
- Preparing investment materials and structuring narratives
- Coordinating and leading investor discussions (with senior leadership involvement as needed)
- Driving conversion from interest to commitment
- Catalytic and concessional capital layers
- Support the development and execution of sovereign partnerships by working closely with senior leadership and public‑sector counterparts. This includes:
- Translating government priorities into actionable investment programs
- Supporting structuring of national innovation investment initiatives
- Co‑ordinating with ministries, DFIs, and development partners
- Managing stakeholder workflows and ensuring alignment across parties
- Supporting delivery of broader programmatic initiatives linked to investment vehicles
- Drive implementation of ecosystem components linked to investment vehicles, ensuring effective delivery beyond capital deployment. This may include:
- Manager and ecosystem development initiatives
- Technical assistance programs
- Co‑investment structures
- Founder and startup support platforms
- Act as a central execution lead across internal teams, including:

Requirements
- 10+ years in investment banking, development finance, venture capital, private equity, or structured finance
- Strong hands‑on experience executing complex transactions or investment vehicles (including blended finance)
- Experience working with governments, DFIs, or sovereign institutions
- Demonstrated track record supporting or leading fundraising processes
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Deep understanding of emerging and frontier markets
