Business Support / Customer Service
- Providing a high quality service to our external / internal customers.
- Dealing with all matters relating to the registration and compiling of all forms of applications, other submissions to the Council, including the collection of fees and issuing of invoices.
- Assisting with the collating, monitoring and analysing of data and feedback to identify actions to improve services.
- Assisting with the preparation / formatting of Cabinet, Scrutiny and Committee Reports.
- Providing workplace training to other colleagues as and when required to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Working to strict deadlines and delivering high levels of customer service, both personally and through high quality interactions with customers, with an extensive understanding of operational needs in a proactive working environment.
- Undertaking data analysis and providing reports as necessary to support the function of the schemes.
- Preparing and collating management reports and information, where required, in order that managers can monitor efficiencies within their service areas.
- Carrying out the initial and follow up of driver licence checking and updating the insurance database via the Fleet System (TRANMAN).
- Proactively responding to customer enquiries using excellent interpersonal and people skills via telephone, written communication, emails, and in person.
- Leading by example by promoting and championing the Pool Car Scheme administration function in the service provided.
- Having a pro-active approach to change and embracing continuous improvement.
- Providing word processing / excel and minute taking service to all officers of the Directorate using Microsoft packages.
- Providing administrative support for projects within the Directorate.
- Covering during periods of leave / sickness in the Support group at the Alps / Court Road or other directorate location.
- Ensuring compliance with the Councils Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures.
- Implementing the principles of the Councils Equal Opportunity Policy while carrying out the above duties.
- Adhering to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.
- Implementing the principles of the Council's Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.
- Reporting without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
- Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time.
